Performance objectives	Give the participant an understanding in the need for aligned machines to guarantee high reliability of service. Give the participant an understanding in different methods of alignment. Give the participant an understanding in applying different alignment tolerances for offset and angular misalignment. Practice to use the Easy-Laser® measurement systems to align horizontal- and vertical mounted machines. To be able to use BTA Compact to align belt transmissions. To give the participant the skills to master the handling of the Easy-Laser® measurement systems in his/her daily work.
Course description	The class addresses maintenance technicians or other service personnel. The class mixes theory and practice and includes the following: - Laser theory. - Methods for shaft alignment, indicate offset and angular misalignment. - Rotating machines, why alignment ? - Practice mounting and using of Easy-Laser® measurement systems on horizontal and vertical machines. - practice the use of BTA Compact for belt transmission alignment. - Practice measuring, evaluation, adjusting/shimming. - Practice saving and documentation, transferring to PC. - Final exam.
